Pitt Dance Marathon

Pitt Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy at the University of Pittsburgh. Every school year, PDM staff and participants work tirelessly in an effort to enhance the movement that raises funds and awareness for UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, part of the Children's Miracle Network Hospital system. PDM is a yearlong fundraising effort supported by thousands of Pitt students, culminating in a dance marathon in the spring. Since its inception in 2005, PDM has raised over $2,000,000 for local Pittsburgh charities that benefit the Pittsburgh community. Now, in its 10th official year as a student organization, PDM is aiming to break 2.5 million dollars with YOUR help!

This year Pitt Dance Marathon has once again partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Every dollar raised will be given to the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh unrestricted fund. This means that the hospital is able to allocate the funds we raise to wherever is needed in the hospital. CMNH is a leading national charity determined to support the needs of children’s hospitals across the nation. As a member of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh provides the highest quality of care to its patients.
