Pitt Dance Marathon is about more than just the dance marathon! We also hold events throughout the year to raise both money and awareness for PDM. All funds raised go directly to CHP! The annual PDM Pancake Breakfast is the first special event of the year. Held in February last year, this event will take place on December 1 in the William Pitt Union. This a completely donations-based event, where all food, drinks, and utensils are obtained as donations. This year, PDM is partnering with the Green Fund and Pitt Green Team to make our event Green Certified (sustainable). Tickets are $5.
Kickin' It For the Kids: Kickball Tournament
This year we will be hosting the 2nd Annual PDM Kickball Tournament. Located in the Cost Center, the event is open to all students who sign up to participate. Sign-ups for the event will be available a month prior to the event itself, and teams consist of 8-10 students each. Participation allows for a variety of different students to interact with other groups whom they may never have had the chance to meet if it weren’t for this event! We are looking to add even more teams to the tournament this year.
This year will be the 3rd Annual Fashion Show! Sponsored by JC Penney, miracle children are allowed to shop at the department store outside of store hours to select the outfits that they wanted to show off on the big night! Hosted in Soldiers and Sailors, each child is escorted down the runway by a PDM member and a representative from one of their sponsors. Last year we raised our most money yet: $3,034! This year we are offering students, organizations, and companies to sponsor a kid for only $100!
